Each year, drinks giant Diageo hosts a glamorous event to celebrate the craft of mixology. At the heart of the action is a competition to crown the world's best cocktail maker. With a huge turnout of more than 500 industry VIPs attending talks, demonstrations and tastings across 5 days, the community spirit (pardon the pun) can easily get lost in the crowd.

We were tasked with building an app that would act as a virtual event hub, making the sprawling activities easy to navigate, connecting the attendees through messaging, curating highlights and - most importantly - announcing the results of the all-important competition
